Vote for the format you want to see on Fan Appreciation Night for the Late Models and Modifieds. Below is an explanation on each format. The winner will be decided at midnight on Thursday.
Heads Up-Heat races will start in order of fastest to slowest from time trials. The finish of the heat races will determine the starting positions in the heat races. For example, the fast qualifier will start on pole of heat race #1 and the winner of heat race #1 will start on pole of the feature.
4 car dash-The top four cars in time trials will be inverted to run a 4 car dash, meaning the fastest qualifier starts fourth. The finishing order of the dash determines the first four starting positions in the feature. The rest of the field will run heat races to determine starting positions, but the best a driver not in the dash can start is 5th.
6 car dash-The top six cars in time trials will be inverted to run a 6 car dash, meaning the fastest qualifier starts sixth. The finishing order of the dash determines the first six starting positions in the feature. The rest of the field will run heat races to determine starting positions, but the best a driver not in the dash can start is 7th.
Redraw-The top two finishers in each heat race will draw for feature starting positions. If there are two heat races, the top four starting positions will be drawn. If there are three heat races, the top six starting positions will be drawn.
Heat Race Invert-The heat race lineups will be inverted by 3 cars, meaning the fastest qualifier will start 3rd in the first heat race. The finishing order of the heat races will make up the starting positions for the feature.
Heat Race/Dash-The top two finishers in each heat race will then draw for starting positions in a 4 lap dash race. The finish of the 4 lap dash race makes up the starting positions for the feature.
