All of us at RTR enjoyed working with the AMRA with the weekly sanctioning last season. It was a very difficult decision for us to make, but it was made because of the new tire rule. Not counting I-77 Speedway in Fairplains, WV, we would of been the only track within an hour and 1/2 to 2 hours running the new tire rule. We would of been limiting a majority of the cars that run with us as it would be hard for guys to have to run one type of tire at RTR on Fridays and then a totally different tire at PRP/201/K-C/etc. on Saturdays. A lot of drivers would not run with us either if they had to buy a totally different tire just to run at one track. You have to remember, the majority of our cars also race Saturdays at PRP/K-C/201/etc. We are in a different area then most of the AMRA weekly sanctioned tracks are.
