Are there any drivers switching classes for the 2007 season and are there any new race teams being started in the area?
I believe Shawn Holliday will be racing Late Models in 2007.

That is interesting news Bomber. One of the 4 cyl drivers that one a race last season (I believe the name was Johnny White) said in victory lane that he would be in a Modified next season.
It's always good to see more folks getting into racing!!!

I will be starting my 1st year this year. Currently I've been playing with a bomber with a high chance of getting into modifieds here pretty soon within a month or so....

I'm going to be a rookie driver out there this season. You guys got any hints for someone that has never went around a track? I'm going to run a modified. I wasn't planning on racing but a good deal on a chassis fell in my lap so I thought what the heck. Any info will be helpful. If I don't get any then I'll just go as fast as I can and turn left!
Thanks PrideFool

Pride, I think me and you are in the same situation. I'm going straight from the side of the hill to the pits to race. But some advice that i could give you that has really helped me is to start hanging around engine builders machine shops. i have been lately and have met numerous top runners from all kinds of local tracks and everyone of 'em has been really kind to me and offering any and all help i need because they know what its like to be a beginner too...

Yes, Holiday recently ran in North Carolina and he didnt do bad at all. He'll be someone to keep your eyes on in LM's this year.

It's great to see you all coming from being a spectator to now a competitor. The best advice I can give somebody just getting into racing is try to find a driver or team who you can sort of "buddy up" with. That way you can learn from a more experience driver and possibly get some help. I have seen several first time drivers do this and it's not too long before they are successful themselves.
