Well, after seeing the Mod Lites race for the first time at RTR, what was your thoughts on them? I really enjoyed them and thought they put on a great show.

i really enjoyed the show, they had a very good car count for the first time they have been to the track, i think that if they bring a few more cars the next few times, maybe pick them up as another class, but keep their rules the way they are so that more can come down and race and not have to make a bunch of changes

Well, if we can get some local people to buy some of these cars then we can look at adding the class as a weekly class. As of right now, most of the Mod Lite drivers are driving a pretty good distance to race with us, no once a month is what we can do for now.
If anybody is interested in getting in the class and needs some more information, please contact me either on here, by email at rockytopraceway@yahoo.com, or talk to me at the track. For this season you can run with us once a month on Fridays and then you can go to Ripley, WV and race at I-77 Speedway on Saturdays. 35 Raceway up above Chillicothe, OH also runs Mod Lites on Saturdays but their rules are a little different than the T-USA rules.
With local support we can build this class to a weekly one.

If i didnt have so much invested in what i have now I would love to get into mod lites... maybe next year??? But I look foward to seeing them weekly....

As I said, that's what its going to take to get this to be a weekly class is people in the Tri-State area purchasing these cars. If new people getting the cars can stick with us going once a month for this season and race at I-77 or 35 on Saturdays then they'll probably have a weekly Friday night track at RTR, if there is enough local support.

I think next year that the Mod Lites are going to be at every race night.

I think next year that the Mod Lites are going to be at every race night. You are correct, that is what tentative plans are.
